Sexual hygiene is an important part of the relationship between couples. It is a routine that individuals follow to protect their health and hygiene. The following are important tips that will help you maintain sexual hygiene after intimacy has been completed.

The ability to keep your sexual hygiene clean after intimacy is essential for being able to maintain a balanced lifestyle.  In today’s fast-paced society, it can be difficult to maintain this balance while balancing work and family life. But maintaining good intimacy hygiene habits is something you should really consider from the start. So here are some important tips to help enhance your sexual hygiene when it comes to being intimate with your significant other.

1. Clean up

One of the most important ways after intercourse is to clean up. It’s an important method of maintaining proper sexual hygiene. This doesn’t mean that you have to get off bed and run into the shower right away. You and your partner can have towels nearby for easy cleanup. You can also change the sheets on the bed, if necessary due to any wet spots that might appear.

(Maybe we can come up with a different tip for #2. I’m not sure if douching is a good method for after-sex cleanup since it can push bacteria further up into the vagina. Maybe this step can be about the Dripstick sponge and include a link to get my 10% off discount.)

2. Wear loose-fitting clothes

Sweaty and hot places are just perfect for germs to thrive. So, consider wearing clothes with enough breathable space. This way you’ll help bacteria and yeast from inhabiting and continue to maintain good hygiene. Cotton clothes are more beneficial after lovemaking sessions to be free and easily rest later after much exertion.

3. Empty your bladder

Another point to take into consideration is to empty your bladder after having intercourse. Head to the restroom after the pleasurable session and empty your bladder. During intercourse, some bacteria may enter your body which can be eliminated by heading to the restroom. You can even drink a glass of water after sexual intercourse to ease the process and help flush out the germs prior to their retrograde progression to your bladder.

If your intimacy is important to you, maintaining sexual hygiene is important as well. The two are not exclusive of one another, in fact, they feed off of each other. Maintaining sexual hygiene is important if you wish to preserve a good relationship with your partner and avoid unnecessary intimacy issues later on down the line.
